Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technologist to perform and monitor laboratory tests, ensure quality control, and support patient care across departments in Wisconsin. You will calibrate and maintain instruments, review results, and train staff in a fast-paced acute care setting.

The role requires ASCP/BOC-related certification within 1 year, a bachelor’s degree in clinical laboratory sciences or medical technology, and the ability to handle high acuity workflows including

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Laboratory Sciences or Medical Technology or related field.
• Licensure/Certification: MT/MLS/AMT per ASCP/BOC as required within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Performs, evaluates and monitors laboratory tests following established protocols.
• Evaluates results for clinical significance and reports findings.
• Performs calibration, maintenance and repair of instruments; detects malfunctions.
• Maintains quality control and quality assurance procedures; takes corrective action as needed.
• Collects specimens from newborns to adults per protocol; ensures proper labeling.
