Job summary

Inova Fairfax Hospital is seeking a Clinical Technician to join the Perianesthesia team covering adults and pediatrics. The role supports patient care under RN supervision during day shifts, with a schedule of full-time hours, including rotating weekdays and weekends.

Ideal candidates hold a high school diploma, have 1 year of clinical technician experience or rotation experience, and possess BLS certification. Strong English communication and physical ability to lift 35 lbs are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent (GED/HSE).
• 1 year of Clinical Technician experience or completion of acute care clinical rotation and active nursing program.
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association, or obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Physical ability to lift at least 35 lbs.

This schedule for this role will be Full Time | Days | 6:30AM - 7:00PM | Two weekdays and one weekend shift /weekly | Days rotate |

Training

• Virtual orientations (Two from 8AM -4:30PM)
• Classroom-style sessions: 8AM - 4:30PM (6 shifts total)
• Virtual training modules.
• On-unit shifts

Minimum Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: 1 year working as a Clinical Technician; or completing acute care clinical rotation, and actively enrolled in a nursing program
• Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association, or obtain within 90 days of hire
• Special Skills: Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift minimum of 35lbs pounds
