Job summary

Inova Fairfax Hospital – Perianesthesia - Adults & Pediatrics is seeking a Clinical Technician 2 to join the team. This full-time role runs days from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM, with two weekdays and one weekend shift per week and rotating days.

Training spans six non-consecutive weeks of paid instruction (virtual orientations, classroom sessions, virtual modules, and on-unit shifts). You will provide direct patient care under RN supervision and collaborate with the care team.

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: 1 year working as a Clinical Technician or completing acute care clinical rotation and nursing program enrollment.
• Certification: BLS from the American Heart Association, or obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Special Skills: Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift minimum of 35lbs.

Training : Must be available for six (6) non-consecutive weeks of paid training, consisting of:

• Virtual orientations (Two from 8AM -4:30PM)
• Classroom-style sessions: 8AM – 4:30PM (6 shifts total)
• Virtual training modules.
• On-unit shifts

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education : High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience : 1 year working as a Clinical Technician; or completing acute care clinical rotation, and actively enrolled in a nursing program
• Certification : Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association, or obtain within 90 days of hire
• Special Skills : Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English
• Physical Requirements : Ability to lift minimum of 35lbs pounds
