Job summary

Inova Mount Vernon Hospital - Joints is seeking a Clinical Technician 1 to join the team in Alexandria, VA. The role is PRN with rotating day and night shifts, including weekends and holidays; four shifts in a six week period.

Training and onboarding include the Clinical Technician Academy and virtual sessions, with a first week Monday-Friday schedule. The position involves direct patient care under RN supervision, effective communication with the care team, and adherence to professional

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year as a clinical tech in an acute care setting, or completed acute care clinical with an accredited nursing program.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association, or obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 35 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to patients under the direct supervision of registered nurses.
• Effectively communicate with team members, patients, and visitors.
• Maintain professionalism and integrity throughout the healthcare system.
• May perform additional duties as assigned.

This schedule for this role will be PRN | Days or Nights | 7:00AM - 7:30PM or 7:00PM - 7:30AM | Rotating days, weekends & holidays | Four shifts in a six week period |

Training

Clinical Technician Academy (CTA): 6 Classroom-style sessions located in Fairfax VA: 8AM - 4:30PM 1 Virtual Orientation Day: 9AM - 4:30PM 1 Virtual EPIC Training: 8AM - 4:30PM All dates already pre-determined and fall between Monday - Friday.

You first week of work will be a Monday - Friday schedule.

Minimum Qualifications

• Education : High School diploma or equivalent.
• Exp : One years as a clinical tech in an acute care setting, or acute care clinical completed with accredited nursing program.
• Certification : Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association, or obtain within 90 days of hire
• Special Skills : Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English
• Physical Requirements : Ability to lift minimum of 35lbs pounds
