Job summary

Inova Alexandria Hospital - Medical Oncology is seeking a dedicated Clinical Technician to join the team. This is a full-time night-shift position with a 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM schedule and rotating days, weekends and holidays.

The successful candidate will provide direct patient care under the supervision of registered nurses, communicate effectively with the team, patients and visitors, and maintain professional conduct within a dynamic cancer care setting.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• BLS from American Heart Association or obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Proficient verbal and written communication in English.
• Ability to lift minimum of 35lbs pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct care to patients under direct supervision of registered nurses.
• Effectively communicates with team members, patients, and visitors.
• Maintains professionalism and integrity throughout the healthcare system.
• May perform additional duties as assigned.

Training:

Clinical Technician Academy (CTA):

• 6 Classroom-style sessions located in Falls Church VA: 8AM - 4:30PM
• 1 Virtual Orientation Day: 9AM - 4:30PM
• 1 Virtual EPIC Training: 8AM - 4:30PM

Training dates are pre-set and non-negotiable; recruitment team will share further information.

Current Inova Clinical Technicians & rehires under 1 year are exempt from CTA.

Your first week will be a required Monday - Friday schedule - regardless of your positions normal schedule.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education : High School diploma or equivalent.
• Certification : Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association, or obtain within 90 days of hire
• Special Skills : Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English
• Physical Requirements : Ability to lift minimum of 35lbs pounds
