Job summary

Inova Alexandria Hospital - PCU is seeking a dedicated Clinical Technician to join the team. The role operates on a Full-time night schedule (6:00 PM–6:30 AM) with rotating days, weekends, and holidays. The position includes training, clinical support, and patient care under RN supervision.

Minimum qualifications include a High School diploma or equivalent and BLS certification (or within 90 days of hire). Strong English communication and physical capability to lift 35 lbs are required.

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
• Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association, or obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Special Skills: Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English
• Physical: Ability to lift minimum of 35 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to patients under the direct supervision of registered nurses.
• Effectively communicate with team members, patients, and visitors.
• Maintain professionalism and integrity throughout the healthcare system.
• May perform additional duties as assigned.

Training:

Clinical Technician Academy (CTA):

• 6 Classroom-style sessions located in Falls Church VA: 8AM - 4:30PM
• 1 Virtual Orientation Day: 9AM - 4:30PM
• 1 Virtual EPIC Training: 8AM - 4:30PM

Training dates are pre-set and non-negotiable; recruitment team will share further information.

Current Inova Clinical Technicians & rehires under 1 year are exempt from CTA.

Your first week will be a required Monday - Friday schedule - regardless of your positions normal schedule.
