Job summary

Inova Mount Vernon Hospital – Joints is seeking a dedicated Clinical Technician 1 to join the team in a PRN capacity. The role offers rotating 7:00 AM–7:30 PM or 7:00 PM–7:30 AM schedules with rotating days, weekends and holidays.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, 1 year of clinical tech experience (acute care) or completed nursing clinicals, and BLS certification. English proficiency is required and lifting up to 35 lbs may be necessary.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year as a clinical tech in an acute care setting, or completed clinical with an accredited nursing program.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association, or obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Special Skills: Proficient verbal and written communication in English.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift a minimum of 35 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct care to patients under direct supervision of registered nurses.
• Effectively communicates with team members, patients, and visitors.
• Maintains professionalism and integrity throughout the healthcare system.
• May perform additional duties as assigned.

This schedule for this role will be PRN | Days or Nights | 7:00AM – 7:30PM or 7:00PM - 7:30AM | Rotating days, weekends & holidays | Four shifts in a six week period |

Clinical Technician 1 – Job Responsibilities:

Training:

6 Classroom-style sessions located in Fairfax VA: 8AM – 4:30PM

1 Virtual Orientation Day: 9AM – 4:30PM

1 Virtual EPIC Training: 8AM – 4:30PM

All dates already pre-determined and fall between Monday – Friday.

You first week of work will be a Monday – Friday schedule.

Current Inova Clinical Technicians & rehires under 1 year are exempt from CTA.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
• Exp: One years as a clinical tech in an acute care setting, or acute care clinical completed with accredited nursing program.
• Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association,

or obtain within 90 days of hire

• Special Skills: Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift minimum of 35lbs pounds
