Job summary

Inova Loudoun Hospital in Leesburg, VA, is seeking a dedicated Clinical Technician to join the Emergency Department for a full-time night shift (7pm–7:30am) with rotating weekends. You will provide direct patient care under RN supervision and support the ED team in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will have BLS certification, acute care experience or nursing program exposure, and a high school diploma. A 6-week training course is required to help you integrate into the unit.

Qualifications

• BLS certification within 3 months; Heart Saver for employees hired prior to Apr 22, 2019
• Licensure - None Required
• Experience - 1 year of acute care as a Clinical Tech or clinical rotation with an accredited nursing program and/or 2 years of nursing school
• Education - High School diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Provides direct care to patients whose care requirements are routine and standardized, under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse
• Effectively communicates with health team members, patients and families; communicates effectively and works cooperatively with others
• Assists unit leadership with overseeing other unit Clinical Technician education records
• Has respect for and an understanding of other clinical disciplines
• Maintains competencies and seeks opportunities to develop professionally
• Identifies own learning needs based on self-evaluation and the progress made from the previous year's goals
• Assumes responsibility for self-development in life long learning and seeks opportunities to further increase practice knowledge
• May perform additional duties as assigned

Shift: Day Shift (7pm - 7:30am)
Schedule: Three 12 hour shifts per week (with every other weekend rotation)
Training: Ideal candidate must be able to attend a 6 week training course

Minimum Qualifications:

• Certification - Basic Life Support within 3 Months; Heart Saver for employees hired prior to April 22, 2019
• Licensure - None Required
• Experience - 1 year of acute care experience as a Clinical Tech or clinical rotation with an accredited nursing program and/or 2 years of nursing school
• Education - High School diploma or equivalent
