Job summary

Inova Fairfax Hospital in Virginia seeks a Clinical Technician 1 to join the ICU - Med Surg team. You will provide direct patient care under RN supervision and contribute to a high‑quality, safe patient experience.

This Full-Time role includes rotating day/night shifts (6:00AM-6:30PM and 6:00PM-6:30AM), weekends and holidays as required, with competitive benefits and opportunities for growth within a leading nonprofit health system.

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
• Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association, or obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Verbal and written English communication skills.
• Physical ability to lift at least 35 lbs.

• Communicates effectively with team members, patients, and visitors.
• Maintains professionalism and integrity throughout the healthcare system.

Clinical Technician 1 – Job Responsibilities

Training

• Virtual orientations (Two from 8AM -4:30PM)


• Classroom-style sessions: 8AM – 4:30PM (6 shifts total)


• Virtual training modules.


• On-unit shifts

Minimum Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent.


• Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association, or obtain within 90 days of hire


• Special Skills: Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English


• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift minimum of 35lbs pounds
