Job summary

Inova Fairfax Hospital – Medicine B is seeking a dedicated Clinical Technician I to join the team. The role is full-time nights from 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM with rotating days, weekends, and holidays.

You will provide direct patient care under the supervision of registered nurses and communicate effectively with staff, patients, and visitors. Inova offers a comprehensive benefits package and a mission-driven work culture.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent (GED/HSE)
• BLS certification from American Heart Association or obtain within 90 days of hire
• Proficient verbal and written communication in English
• Ability to lift 35 lbs

Clinical Technician 1 – Job Responsibilities:

• Provides direct care to patients under direct supervision of registered nurses.
• Effectively communicates with team members, patients, and visitors.
• Maintains professionalism and integrity throughout the healthcare system.
• May perform additional duties as assigned

Training:

Must be available for six (6) non-consecutive weeks of paid training, consisting of:

• Virtual orientations (Two from 8AM -4:30PM)
• Classroom-style sessions: 8AM – 4:30PM (6 shifts total)
• Virtual training modules.
• On-unit shifts

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
• Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association, or obtain within 90 days of hire
• Special Skills: Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift minimum of 35lbs pounds
