Job summary

Inova Fairfax Hospital's Stroke Unit is seeking a dedicated Clinical Technician 1 to join the team. This full-time position offers night shifts from 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM with days varying and rotating weekends/holidays.

You will provide direct patient care under RN supervision, communicate effectively with the team, and participate in paid training weeks. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• BLS from the American Heart Association (or obtained within 90 days of hire).
• Proficient verbal and written communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care under direct supervision of a registered nurse.
• Communicates effectively with team members, patients, and visitors.
• Maintains professionalism and integrity throughout the healthcare system.
• Complete six weeks of paid training (virtual orientations, classroom sessions, training modules, and on-unit shifts).
• May perform additional duties as assigned.

Clinical Technician 1 -Job Responsibilities:

• Provides direct care to patients under direct supervision of registered nurse.
• Effectively communicates with team members, patients, and visitors.
• Maintains professionalism and integrity throughout the healthcare system.
• Training: Must be available for six (6) non-consecutive weeks of paid training, consisting of:
  • Virtual orientations (Two from 8AM -4:30PM)
  • Classroom-style sessions: 8AM - 4:30PM (6 shifts total)
  • Virtual training modules.
  • On-unit shifts
• May perform additional duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education:High School diploma or equivalent.
• Certification:Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American HeartAssociation, or obtain within 90 days of hire
• Special Skills:Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English
• Physical Requirements:Ability to lift minimum of 35lbs pounds
