Inova Health System is seeking a Clinical Technician 1 for Medical Oncology at Inova Alexandria Hospital. The role supports nursing staff with patient care, requiring strong English communication and adherence to safety standards.

The position is full-time with night shifts from 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM, rotating days, weekends and holidays, in a leading nonprofit health system recognized for safety and patient experience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association or obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Proficient verbal and written English communication.

Job Description

Inova Alexandria Hospital – Medical Oncology is looking for a dedicated Clinical Technician to join the team.

This schedule for this role will be Full-time | Nights| 6:00AM – 6:30PM | Rotating days, weekends & holidays |

Clinical Technician – Job Responsibilities

• To learn more about a day in the life of Clinical Technician,
• Provides direct care to patients under direct supervision of registered nurses.
• Effectively communicates with team members, patients, and visitors.
• Maintains professionalism and integrity throughout the healthcare system.
• May perform additional duties as assigned

Training

6 Classroom-style sessions located in Falls Church VA: 8AM – 4:30PM

1 Virtual Orientation Day: 9AM – 4:30PM

1 Virtual EPIC Training: 8AM – 4:30PM

Training dates are pre-set and non-negotiable; recruitment team will share further information.

• Current Inova Clinical Technicians & rehires under 1 year are exempt from CTA.

Your first week will be a required Monday – Friday schedule – regardless of your positions normal schedule.

Minimum Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
• Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association, or obtain within 90 days of hire
• Special Skills: Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift minimum of 35lbs pounds
