Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s in biomedical or related engineering field with life science coursework and two-year full-time internship or one-year organizational clinical engineering experience required.
  • In-depth knowledge of information technologies as they relate to networking, integration, and interoperability of clinical technologies.
  • Demonstrated understanding of biomedical and systems engineering principles and project management methodology.
  • Experience with PC software; use of electronic and mechanical test equipment required.
  • Effective communication skills required.
  • Ability to travel to client worksites.
  • Certification within one year of eligibility.

Responsibilities

  • Support the present and expanding biomedical technology needs by utilizing engineering and equipment management skills to improve patient care.
  • Work as part of an interdisciplinary team to manage and optimize the medical device inventory including system design, networking and/or integration.
  • Serve as a primary clinical engineering and healthcare technology resource for hospitals and healthcare organizations.
  • Apply advanced clinical engineering, risk analysis and mitigation, data analytics, and medical equipment lifecycle management expertise to support safe and compliant patient care environments.

Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)

Bachelor’s in biomedical or related engineering field with life science coursework and two-year full-time internship or one-year organizational clinical engineering experience required. Demonstrated understanding of biomedical and systems engineering principles and project management methodology. Experience with PC software; use of electronic and mechanical test equipment required. Effective communication skills required. Ability to travel to client worksites. Certification within one year of eligibility.

Desirable Qualifications

Experience as an engineer working with clinical technology in healthcare desirable. Certification as a clinical engineer and cybersecurity professional or network administrator or ability to obtain within two years desirable.

Anticipated Pay Range

Anticipated Pay Range $75,000 to $90,000

Special Conditions A probationary period may be required, Occasional evening and/or weekends required (if non-exempt position, may result in overtime), Travel to and from worksites required, This position is ineligible for telework due to the essential functions, Background Check required for this position, A post-offer pre-employment (POPE test) physical examination is required
