Job summary

UNC Health's Faculty Physicians Geriatrics Clinic in Chapel Hill is seeking a Clinical Support Technician II (NAII license required) to join a dedicated team providing patient-centered care in-person. The role supports geriatrics patients with vitals, EKGs, and scope-of-practice tasks, with a schedule of M-F 8:30a-5p or 8a-4:30p based on candidate preference.

The position requires NC Nursing Assistant II licensure, BLS certification, and a minimum of one year clerical or customer service

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; higher-level degree may satisfy this requirement.
• Listed as a Nursing Assistant I by the North Carolina DHHS.
• Licensed as a Nursing Assistant II by the North Carolina DHHS.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• One year of clerical or customer service experience and three months of nursing assistant experience.

Responsibilities

• Rooming patients – collecting/documenting vital signs, weights, medication review, completing screening questions
• Checking out patients – scheduling follow-up visits, providing After Visit Summary
• Carrying out provider orders within scope – specimen collection, bladder scanning, EKG's, point of care testing
• Administrative tasks including scanning and faxing
• Restocking of room supplies
• Other duties as assigned
