Job summary

UNC Health in Chapel Hill is seeking a Clinical Support Technician II to assist the professional caregiver in delivering patient care, transport patients and equipment, and maintain patient rooms.

Requires Nursing Assistant licensure per NC DHHS, BLS, and 1 year clerical or customer service experience plus 3 months nursing assistant experience. Onsite work with day schedule and 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in verbal and written English.
• Capability to develop computer skills if not competent.

Responsibilities

• Assist caregivers in patient care, transport patients/equipment, set up rooms.
• Support physicians with routine exams and procurement of equipment.
• Review patient care documentation and report significant changes to RN/physician.
• Perform clerical tasks: greet visitors, research information, review and revise orders, answer calls, transcribe orders, maintain records.
• Provide clinical support: clean work area, troubleshoot software/hardware issues, restock supplies.
• Assist in patient education and document understanding of instructions.
