Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Medical Assistant Certificate or equivalent experience.
• 2 years clinical experience in a medical environment.
• Strong knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• BLS Certification (Preferred).
• Certified Medical Assistant (Preferred).

Responsibilities

• Liaise between physician and patient via electronic messaging.
• Prepare and communicate messages to physicians about test results and follow-up care.
• Prepare messages to physicians for patient prescription refills.
• Communicate effectively in person, on the telephone and in writing.
• Follow practice policies and procedures.
• Work independently and as part of a team.
• Maintain accuracy, efficiency and strong organizational skills.
• Read and comprehend patient medical charts, terminology, medications, and physician messages.
• Strong knowledge of EHR and PM systems.
