Job summary

Holcomb Behavioral Health Systems in Reading, PA is seeking a Clinical Support Specialist for on-site work. You will handle client communications, manage records from data entry to release of information, and support clinical staff.

The role requires a high school diploma and at least one year in medical/mental health or similar Office setting; insurance verification experience is a plus. Schedule: Mon–Fri, 8am–4pm, $17+ per hour. On-site position, no remote work.

Qualifications

  • Experience in medical or mental health care office setting or similar professional office environment.
  • Knowledge of medical billing and insurance is a plus.
  • Ability to answer intake line and manage referrals with accuracy.

Responsibilities

  • Answer the intake line during business hours.
  • Process all new referrals and verify insurance eligibility.
  • Transmit referral information to the appropriate person or service within the agency.
  • Data entry of all referral information in the electronic record.

Job Description:In this role, the Clinical Support Specialist has the responsibility to work cooperatively with other administrative and clinical staff members to manage client communication and needs, whether on the phone or in person. This position has oversight of all processes involving client records from data entry to release of information to archiving.

Schedule Details: Monday through Friday 8:00 am - 4:00 pm

Location:Reading, PA - This position is on-site and does not offer remote work options.

Program: Crisis Intervention Program

Pay Rate: $17+/hour

Job Functions:

  • Responsible for answering the intake line during business hours
  • Responsible for processing all new referrals and securing insurance eligibility verifications
  • Responsible for the transmittal of referral information to the appropriate person or service within the agency
  • Responsible for data entry of all referral information in electronic record

Education: High School diploma or equivalent

Experience: One year of experience in a medical or mental health care office setting or other professional business office setting including customer service and data entry. Knowledge of medical billing and insurance is a plus.

Licensure/Certifications:None Required

Clearances: Child Abuse Clearance, Criminal clearance, and verification that the employee is not on any Medicaid/Medicare Exclusion list

Note: At the discretion of the Personnel Officer, additional related experience and/or education may be substituted instead of the requirements specified under Education and Experience
