Job summary

The Christ Hospital Health Network is seeking a Clerical Support Specialist to assist the clinical team with daily patient care tasks and act as a key communication link among patients, staff, physicians, and departments.

Responsibilities include entering patient data, maintaining medical records, managing admission-to-discharge documents, and supporting patient care by handling errands, organizing charts, and ensuring a clean, efficient environment. Proficiency with EPIC is required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Experience in clerical or receptionist roles preferred.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients, visitors, and staff as a receptionist.
• Answer patient call lights promptly and courteously.
• Maintain admit/discharge logs and ensure timely admissions and discharges.
• Enter patient data and maintain medical records in EPIC.
• Prepare and organize charts, ensure face sheets and armbands are included.
• Communicate with physicians and departments to coordinate patient care.
