Job summary

The BRC Transit Homeless Outreach program in New York is seeking a full-time supervisor to manage day-to-day operations of the outreach case management team and individual staff. You will oversee engagement, assessment and follow-up with chronically homeless individuals across the transit system.

Responsibilities include ensuring charts are up to date with psychiatric evaluations and housing plans, evaluating removal under Mental Hygiene Law 9.58, participating in clinical meetings, and

Qualifications

• LMSW licensure required with ability to obtain 9.58 removal designation.
• Experience working with homeless populations, including street/subway homeless and MICA.
• Supervisory experience preferred; valid driver's license preferred.
• Bilingual abilities preferred (Spanish, Polish, Russian, Chinese, Korean or other).
• Basic computer literacy and CPR training or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day operations of the subway outreach case management team and individuals.
• Oversee engagement, assessment, placement and follow-up with chronic/homeless individuals.
• Ensure up-to-date charts including psychiatric evaluations, narrative psychosocial, housing plans and applications.
• Evaluate clients for removal under Mental Hygiene Law section 9.58.
• Participate in clinical management meetings, case conferences and present cases.
• Complete monthly reports and provide CPR/First Aid as needed.
