Job summary

Northside Hospital in Atlanta, GA is seeking a Clinical Supervisor to join the unit-based leadership team. The role oversees nursing operations, ensuring 24-hour coverage when the manager or director is absent, and works with a unit-specific patient population.

Qualified candidates will be graduates of an accredited nursing program, with 3 years clinical experience (or a BSN with 2 years in a specialty). Georgia RN licensure and BLS certification are required.

• Three (3) years experience in clinical area with a minimum of one (1) year in area of specialty OR Bachelor’s degree or higher in Nursing with two (2) years of experience in clinical area with a minimum of one (1) year in area of specialty.

The Clinical Supervisor is a member of the unit‑based leadership team. Provides supervision of the nursing operations of a unit. In the absence of the Manager or Director may assume 24‑hour nursing responsibility. Works with a unit specific patient population.

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Three (3) years experience in clinical area with a minimum of one (1) year in area of specialty OR

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Nursing with two (2) years of experience in clinical area with a minimum of one (1) year in area of specialty.

• Current license in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or Nurse Compact (NLC/eNLC) or Multistate license
• Must hold Certified in American Heart Association’s Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).
• Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.

PREFERRED:

• Additional Life Support credential (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications in specific units.
