Job summary

Northside Hospital Inc. in Atlanta is seeking a Clinical Supervisor to join our unit-based leadership team. Responsibilities include supervising nursing operations and assuming 24-hour nursing responsibility when needed. Candidates should have at least three years of clinical nursing experience, with a current Georgia nursing license and certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS). Preferred qualifications include additional life support certifications.

Qualifications

• Must have three years experience in clinical area with one year in specialty.
• Obtain a valid nursing license in Georgia.
• Hold BLS certification from the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Supervise nursing operations of the unit.
• Assume 24-hour nursing responsibility in absence of Manager or Director.
• Work with a unit specific patient population.

Responsibilities

The Clinical Supervisor is a member of the unit-based leadership team. Provides supervision of the nursing operations of a unit. In the absence of the Manager or Director may assume 24-hour nursing responsibility. Works with a unit specific patient population.

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Three (3) years experience in clinical area with a minimum of one (1) year in area of specialty OR
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Nursing with two (2) years of experience in clinical area with a minimum of one (1) year in area of specialty.
• Current license in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or Nurse Compact (NLC/eNLC) or Multistate license
• Must hold Certified in American Heart Association’s Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).
• Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.

PREFERRED:

• Additional Life Support credential (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications in specific units.
