Job summary

Avenues Recovery Center in Norfolk, VA is seeking a Clinical Supervisor for our Detox and Residential treatment facility. You will support the Clinical Director, oversee the clinical program, and help maintain a compassionate, recovery-focused environment.

Ideal candidates hold a Master’s degree or higher and Virginia licensure (LPC, LCSW, LSATP). We value strong organizational and communication skills, a warm demeanor, and a commitment to evidence-based care.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher in related field preferred.
• 3 years experience working with chemical dependency or dual diagnosed clients preferred.
• Current Virginia licensure to practice: LPC, LCSW, LSATP.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, observational, and communication skills.
• Positive, warm, and dignified character modeling recovery principles.

Responsibilities

• Support and assist Clinical Director as necessary in all relevant duties.
• Manage the daily execution of all aspects of the Avenues clinical program.
• Oversee client engagement and morale, maintaining a warm and encouraging recovery environment.
• Facilitate group occasionally and maintain small client caseload.
• Provide consistent compliance oversight to ensure impeccable client documentation.
• Provide Utilization Review support to drive authorization and retention throughout treatment.

What You'll Do

What We're Looking For
