Job summary

Avenues Recovery Center is hiring a Clinical Supervisor for our Detox and Residential treatment facility in Norfolk, VA. You will support the Clinical Director, manage daily operations, and ensure a structured, recovery-focused environment for clients.

Ideal candidates hold a master's degree, VA licensure (LPC/LCSW/LSATP), and 3+ years' experience with chemical dependency or dual diagnosis. Excellent communication and organizational skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in related field preferred.
• 3 years experience with chemical dependency or dual diagnosed clients preferred.
• Current VA licensure to practice: LPC, LCSW, LSATP.
• Efficient, organized, with strong time-management skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, observational, and communication skills.
• Positive, warm, and dignified character modeling recovery principles.

Responsibilities

• Support Clinical Director as necessary in all relevant duties.
• Manage the daily execution of all aspects of the clinical program.
• Oversee client engagement and morale, maintaining a warm recovery environment.
• Facilitate group occasionally and maintain small client caseload.
• Provide consistent compliance oversight for client documentation.
• Provide Utilization Review support to drive authorization and retention during treatment.

What You'll Do

What We're Looking For

• Master's degree or higher in related field preferred

• Current licensure necessary to practice in this state for this role: LPC, LCSW, LSATP
• Efficient and driven, with strong organizational and time-management skills
• Excellent interpersonal, observational, and communication skills
