Our Clinical Supervisor oversees and manages forensic services. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Clinical Director. Supervision is exercised over program personnel.
Thorough knowledge of the Virginia civil commitment process; through knowledge of mental health delivery systems including inquiry/access systems, counseling, case management and emergency services; thorough knowledge of evidenced counseling techniques of individual, marital, family, group and crisis intervention; thorough knowledge of DSM format diagnostic reporting; ability to communicate ideas effectively in both oral and written form; ability to prepare and maintain program records and files; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates, service providers, clients and the general public; knowledge of MS Office, to include Word and Excel.
Team Leadership - As a supervisor or manager, you must possess the ability to direct and coordinate the activities of other team members, assess team performance, assign tasks, develop KSA’s, and motivate team members.The ability to develop a rapport with subordinates is essential in creating a positive work atmosphere.Decision Making – Models the use of sound judgement and accountability when managing human resources and using operational and financial resources.Makes clear, transparent, and timely decisions. Communication – Shares and receives information using clear oral, written and interpersonal communication skills. People Management - Leads and engages people to maximize organizational and individual performance through alignment with RRCS’s mission and attainment of strategic and operational goals. Delegation – Possess the ability to assign work based on skills, performance objectives, and development opportunities. Conflict/Mediation – Demonstrates managerial courage by addressing conflicts promptly using focused listening and behavioral feedback. Job Mastery and Continuous Learning - As a supervisor you must demonstrate the responsibility for one’s own career path and continues learning by identifying and applying new skills as needed to perform the job. Applicability – Ability to apply background, technical knowledge, education, and job experience to job situations.
