Position Overview

The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for all clinical aspects of treatment for the patients they oversee.

Responsibilities
  • Use clinical judgment to promote optimal outcomes for each patient
  • Develop and maintain treatment plans, updating them monthly based on patient response
  • Ensure 100% treatment adherence for all supervision hours each month
  • Evaluate patients to identify skill deficits and strengths
  • Analyze challenging behaviors to determine function
  • Create functionally relevant treatment plans to reduce challenging behaviors
  • Observe treatment implementation for potential program revisions
  • Monitor treatment integrity and adjust protocols based on data
  • Direct behavior technicians in implementation of new or revised protocols
  • Provide ongoing coaching and training to behavioral technicians
  • Summarize and analyze data to evaluate patient progress toward goals
  • Accurately communicate treatment response to stakeholders (caregivers, payers)
  • Coordinate care with other professionals
  • Administer, complete, and score standardized assessments
  • Collaborate with caregivers in treatment team via consistent meetings
  • Engage with payers for funding meetings (IEP, peer reviews)
  • Stay up to date on best practices for ABA treatment
  • Maintain documentation in Skills and the patient’s medical record
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA requirements at all times
  • Partner with center leadership (Operations Manager, Administrative Coordinator, etc.)
  • Fulfill a minimum of 120 payor/client authorized billable hours per month, inclusive of supervisory and therapy hours
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Master’s degree in Psychology, Applied Behavior Analysis, or related field (required)
  • Certification as a behavior analyst from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (required)
  • Experience working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (required)

  • Reliable transportation with proof of auto insurance
  • Pass a tuberculosis test
  • Proficient in English, both written and verbal
Physical Requirements
  • Must work with patients seated on the floor, in chairs, or other environments
  • Move frequently to gather materials, anticipate, and respond to patient movement
  • Constantly position to respond to movements, including bending, kneeling, reaching, or blocking
  • Utilize continuous visual tracking to monitor patient movement
  • Occasionally evade aggressive behaviors or block attempts to aggress
  • Can assist patients who may need weight support
  • Teach patients vocal speech and model speaking clearly
  • Model gross and fine motor skills as needed
  • Work both indoor and outdoor settings, possibly in various weather conditions
  • Lift up to 30 lbs while assisting patients
Work Environment
  • Treatment may occur in homes, CARD centers, schools, community, or via telehealth
  • Clinical Supervisors work indoors and outdoors, moving between locations during the workday
  • Environments may be loud or noisy at times
