Position Overview

The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for all clinical aspects of treatment for the patients they oversee, including assessment, treatment planning, implementation, caregiver collaboration, and supervision of behavioral technicians. This is a salaried, exempt, full‑time, full‑time, full‑time position reporting to the Group Clinical Manager.

Key Responsibilities
  • Use clinical judgment to promote optimal outcomes for each patient
  • Develop and maintain treatment plans
  • Ensure 100% treatment adherence in supervision hours each month
  • Evaluate patients to identify skill deficits and strengths
  • Analyze challenging behaviors to identify function of the behavior
  • Develop functionally relevant treatment plans to reduce challenging behaviors
  • Observe treatment implementation for program revisions
  • Monitor treatment integrity to ensure satisfactory implementation of protocols
  • Direct behavior technicians in new or revised protocols
  • Provide ongoing coaching and training to behavioral technicians
  • Work physically within the center to support technicians and follow best practices of direct observation
  • Summarize and analyze data to evaluate patient progress toward goals and adjust protocols based on data
  • Update treatment plans at least once per month based on patient response
  • Fulfill a minimum of 120 payor/client authorized billable hours per month
  • Accurately communicate treatment response to stakeholders (caregivers, payers)
  • Coordinate care with other professionals
  • Administer, complete, and score standardized assessments
  • Include caregiver as part of treatment team through consistent collaboration meetings
  • Interact with payers collaboratively, professionally, and informatively
  • Engage with payers for funding meetings (e.g., IEP, peer reviews)
  • Stay up to date on best practices for ABA treatment
  • Maintain appropriate documentation in Skills and the patient’s medical record
  • Communicate effectively and compassionately with patients, families, and colleagues
  • Provide a safe and supportive environment for patients and staff
  • Maintain HIPAA compliance at all times
  • Partner consistently with center leadership, including operations manager, other clinical supervisors, and behavior technician leads
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Master’s degree in Psychology, Applied Behavior Analysis, or related field
  • Certification as a behavior analyst from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board
  • Experience working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)

Work Environment

Treatment may occur in patient homes, the CARD center, schools, community, or via telehealth. Clinical Supervisors work indoors and outdoors and may move between locations throughout the day. Environments may be loud or noisy at times.

Physical Requirements
  • Work with patients seated on floor, small chairs, or other settings
  • Move frequently and anticipate/respond to patient's movement
  • Physically support patient in various positions (bending, kneeling, etc.)
  • Monitor patient movements visually while maintaining situational awareness
  • Move to avoid aggressive behaviors and physically block attempts to aggress toward others when necessary
  • Use weight up to 30 lbs. while assisting patients
  • Encourage patients to use vocal speech and model communication clearly
  • Use modeling for gross and fine motor skills as needed
