Position Overview

The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for all clinical aspects of treatment for the patients they oversee. This includes assessment, treatment planning, implementation oversight, caregiver collaboration, coaching of behavioral technicians, and ensuring treatment integrity across various settings.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Use clinical judgment to promote optimal outcomes for each patient
  • Develop and maintain treatment plans
  • Ensure that all supervision hours are at 100% treatment adherence each month
  • Evaluate patients to identify skill deficits and strengths
  • Analyze challenging behaviors to identify their functions
  • Develop functionally relevant treatment plans to reduce challenging behaviors
  • Observe treatment implementation for potential program revisions
  • Monitor treatment integrity and adjust protocols as needed
  • Direct behavioral technicians in the implementation of new or revised protocols
  • Provide ongoing coaching and training to behavioral technicians
  • Physical presence within the center to support technicians and practice direct observation
  • Summarize and analyze data to evaluate patient progress toward goals and adjust protocols based on data
  • Update treatment plans at least once per month based on patient response
  • Fulfill a minimum of 120 payor/client authorized billable hours per month, including supervisory and therapy hours
  • Communicate treatment response to stakeholders (caregivers, payers) accurately
  • Coordinate care with other professionals
  • Administer, complete, and score standardized assessments
  • Include caregivers as part of the treatment team through consistent collaboration meetings
  • Interact with payers professionally and informatively
  • Engage with payers as needed for funding meetings (IEP, peer reviews)
  • Stay up-to-date on ABA best practices to ensure clinical excellence
  • Maintain appropriate documentation in Skills and the patient medical record
  • Communicate effectively and compassionately with patients, families, and colleagues
  • Provide a safe and supportive environment for patients, families, and colleagues
  • Maintain HIPAA compliance at all times
  • Partner consistently and effectively with other center leadership (Operations Manager, Clinical Supervisors, Administrative Coordinator Technician, Behavior Technician Leads)
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Master’s degree in Psychology, Applied Behavior Analysis or related field
  • Certification as a behavior analyst from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board
  • Experience working with individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD)

  • Reliable transportation with proof of auto insurance
  • Must pass a tuberculosis test
  • Proficiency in English, both written and verbal
Work Environment

Treatment may occur in a range of settings: patient homes, the CARD center, schools, community locations, or via telehealth. Clinical supervisors work in both indoor and outdoor environments, often moving between locations throughout the day. Settings may involve loud or excessive noise.

Physical Requirements
  • Work with patients seated on the floor, in small chairs, or other environments
  • Move frequently to gather materials and respond to patient movements
  • Maintain visual tracking to monitor patient movement in various settings
  • Occasionally evade aggressive behaviors or physically block attempts to aggress others
  • Assist with patient movement, including bearing weight and lifting up to 30 lbs.
  • Teach patients vocal speech and shape communication
  • Model gross and fine motor skills, such as climbing, jumping, clapping, or opening containers
  • Work both indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions
