Position Overview
The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for all clinical aspects of treatment for the patients they oversee. This includes assessment and analysis of patient skills and challenging behaviors, development of treatment plans, overseeing implementation of treatment, collaboration with and training of caregiver participants, and ongoing coaching and training of behavioral technicians. Clinical Supervisors report to the Group Clinical Manager. This is a salaried, exempt, full‑time position.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Use clinical judgment to promote optimal outcomes for each patient
- Develop and maintain treatment plans
- Ensure that all supervision hours are at 100% treatment adherence each month
- Evaluate patients to identify skill deficits and strengths
- Analyze challenging behaviors to identify functional behavior
- Develop functionally relevant treatment plans to reduce challenging behaviors
- Observe treatment implementation for potential program revisions
- Monitor treatment integrity to ensure satisfactory implementation of protocols
- Direct behavioral technicians in implementation of new or revised protocols
- Provide ongoing coaching and training to behavioral technicians
- Primarily work physically within the center to support technicians and follow best practices of direct observation
- Summarize and analyze data to evaluate patient progress and adjust protocols
- Update treatment plans at least once per month based on patient response
- Fulfill a minimum of 120 payor/client authorized billable hours per month
- Accurately communicate treatment response to stakeholders (caregivers, payers)
- Coordinate care with other professionals
- Administer, complete, and score standardized assessments
- Include caregiver as part of the treatment team with consistent Caregiver Collaboration meetings
- Interact with payers professionally and informatively
- Engage with payers for funding meetings (e.g., IEP, peer reviews)
- Stay up to date on best practices for ABA treatment to ensure clinical excellence
- Maintain appropriate documentation in Skills and the patient’s medical record
- Communicate effectively and compassionately with patients, families, and colleagues
- Provide a safe and supportive environment for patients, families, and colleagues
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA requirements at all times
- Partner consistently and effectively with other center leadership (Operations Manager, Clinical Supervisors, Administrative Coordinator, Technician Leads)
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Psychology, Applied Behavior Analysis, or related field (required)
- Certification as a behavior analyst from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (required)
- Experience working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (required)

Work Environment
Treatment may occur in a variety of settings including the patient’s home, the CARD center, the patient’s school, the community, or via telehealth. Clinical Supervisors work in environments that are both indoors and outdoors and may move between different locations throughout the day. Treatment environments may be subject to loud or excessive noise at times.
Physical Requirements
- Work with patients seated on the floor, in small chairs, or other environments
- Move frequently to gather materials and respond to patient movement
- Position oneself repeatedly to aid families, including bending, kneeling, crouching, or reaching
- Use continuous visual tracking to monitor patient movement and surroundings
- Occasionally evade or block aggressive behaviors; may bear weight of a patient
- Teach patients to use vocal speech and articulate sound clearly; listen and shape vocal communication
- Occasionally model gross and fine motor skills such as climbing, jumping, clapping, opening a container
- Work in various weather conditions for outdoor settings
- Lift up to 30 lbs while assisting patients
