Job summary

HCA Healthcare is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist in Texas to evaluate patients, set goals, plan treatment programs and document care according to physician orders. The role includes supervision of fellow pathologists and students while collaborating with physicians, nurses, and rehabilitation staff.

Responsibilities cover evaluating speech, language and swallowing abilities, determining efficacy of interventions, and ensuring compliance with state requirements.

Qualifications

• Masters in Communications Disorders from a Speech Language Pathology Program.
• Must maintain licensure by the Texas State Board of Examiners for Speech Language Pathology.
• Prefer membership in ASHA.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates speech and swallowing abilities and sets plan of care.
• Documents evaluations, treatments, plan of care, and discharge summaries.
• Interacts with physicians, nurses, case management, PTs and OTs to implement the intervention program.
• Provides education, training and supervision of speech pathology staff and students.
