Job summary

Memorial Hermann Health System seeks a Supplemental Speech Pathologist to evaluate and rehabilitate patients of all ages with communication and swallowing disorders. The role includes documenting progress, mentoring interns, and supporting program development within the rehabilitation department.

The ideal candidate holds a Masters in Speech-Language Pathology with an active Texas license and ASHA certification, plus BLS.

Qualifications

• Must have a Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Current Texas license to practice SLP with ASHA certification.
• BLS certification required. Experience mentoring staff and interns preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations and rehabilitation for patients of all ages with speech and swallowing disorders.
• Document findings, progress, and plans of care; communicate with patients and families.
• Serve as mentor and Clinical Instructor for CFY students and interns.
• Develop and lead staff training and program development initiatives.
• Ensure safe patient care and adherence to hospital policies within budget and schedule constraints.
