Job summary

Memorial Hermann Health System is seeking a Supplemental Speech Pathologist to evaluate and rehabilitate patients with communication and swallowing disorders. You will document findings, implement treatment plans, and mentor interns and staff while contributing to program development.

Responsibilities include leading clinical initiatives, supervising CFY and interns, and ensuring high-quality, compassionate patient care within the hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech/Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Current Texas license to practice SLP with ASHA certification and BLS.
• One year of experience in a related clinical role preferred.
• Ability to mentor/train staff and supervise clinical interns.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluation of patients with communication and swallowing disorders.
• Develop and implement a plan of care with measurable goals.
• Provide speech-language pathology treatment and adjust as needed.
• Document findings and progress in the medical record accurately.
• Serve as clinical instructor for CFY and speech interns; mentor staff.
• Participate in program development and department goals; community duties.
