Job summary

Vizient, Inc. is seeking a strategic sourcing expert to act as a trusted advisor for complex healthcare sourcing initiatives.

You will lead enterprise sourcing projects, negotiate supplier agreements, develop sourcing strategies, and drive value analysis initiatives to support clinical and organizational priorities. You will collaborate with clinicians, supply chain leaders, and cross-functional stakeholders to optimize supplier performance, realize savings, and implement sourcing solutions.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of relevant enterprise sourcing experience required.
• Healthcare provider, group purchasing organization, consulting, or other regulated industry experience preferred.
• Demonstrated success independently leading complex enterprise sourcing initiatives; clinical sourcing, contracting and value analysis experience preferred.
• Strong experience negotiating complex supplier agreements and commercial contracts.
• Experience facilitating cross-functional stakeholder committees and building consensus among clinical and operational leaders.
• Advanced analytical, communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
• Hybrid work model with three days in the office; offices in Irving, TX; Chicago, IL; Centennial, CO; Nashville, TN; Charlotte, NC.
• Willingness to travel.
• This role requires applying advanced AI fluency to improve business decisions.

Responsibilities

• Develop sourcing strategies aligned with client priorities, objectives, and market opportunities.
• Lead the complete sourcing lifecycle: business requirements, market assessments, RFIs, RFPs, supplier evaluations, negotiations, contracts, implementation, and post‑award activities.
• Negotiate complex contractual, operational, service, and financial agreements with suppliers for clients.
• Evaluate supplier capabilities, financial stability, innovation, and market positioning for strategic recommendations.
• Collaborate with legal, contracting, finance, and operations to resolve sourcing and contracting issues.
• Lead value analysis committees and align stakeholders to support evidence‑based decisions.
• Present strategies, financial analyses, suppliers' recommendations, and implementation plans to executives.
• Analyze spend, utilization, supplier and market data to identify opportunities and mitigate risk.
• Measure savings, value realization, quality improvements, supply assurance, and implementation success.
• Apply AI fluency to improve strategy, analysis, and decision-making while promoting responsible AI use.
