Job summary

Neighborhood Healthcare in Escondido, CA, seeks a Clinical Services Supervisor to lead Medical Assistants and support staff, ensuring exceptional patient-centered care in a team-based setting.

You will drive staffing, recruitment, onboarding, performance reviews, and compliance with HIPAA, HRSA, and clinical standards while advancing population health and value-based care initiatives. Strong leadership and bilingual abilities are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent experience is required.
• Minimum three (3) years of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably within an FQHC, community health center, or ambulatory care environment.
• Progressive leadership or supervisory experience in a clinical setting preferred.
• Valid Medical Assistant certificate from an accredited program is required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire and must be maintained.
• Demonstrated experience with value-based care models, population health, and quality metric performance management is preferred.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred based on patient population needs.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct supervision, leadership, and accountability for Medical Assistants, Lab Assistants, and other clinical staff, ensuring staffing models align with patient volume and care team structure.
• Owns recruitment efforts with Human Resources to build a mission-aligned workforce.
• Facilitates onboarding, coaching, and professional development for staff.
• Oversees daily clinical support operations to ensure efficient patient flow and evidence-based care models.
• Leads performance reviews and collaborates on employee relations and corrective actions.
• Partners with care teams to advance population health strategies and chronic disease management.
