Job summary

Neighborhood Healthcare is seeking a part-time Medical Assistant for General Medicine in Escondido, CA. The role supports providers and nurses, performs essential clinical tasks, and engages with patients to ensure high-quality care in a fast-paced clinic.

The ideal candidate holds a Medical Assistant Certificate and BLS certification upon hire, with preferred bilingual English/Spanish abilities. Schedule includes evenings and weekends as posted; EMR experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Valid Medical Assistant Certificate from an accredited program.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required upon hire and maintained as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

• Communicates and performs clinical care services with patients.
• Takes patient vital signs and obtains intake information.
• Performs clinical procedures such as blood draws, vaccines, nebulizer treatments, ear lavages, and EKGs.
• Discusses patient needs and provides education and resources.
