Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience with medical clinic appointment scheduling and medical records systems is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs is preferred.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
• Ability to organize and maintain accurate files.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls from clients, counselors, physicians, attorneys, pharmacies and other health care providers.
• Route calls to the appropriate mental health professional, administrator or office personnel.
• Check in clients; greet, schedule and confirm appointments; determine eligibility and provide HIPAA information.
• Direct clients to complete paperwork or pay fees; assist with questions or concerns.
• Arrange care by scheduling client appointments and coordinating with providers.
• Inspect intake documentation for emergent concerns and refer to appropriate provider.
• Undertake special projects as assigned by supervisor.
