Allergy & ENT Associates is seeking a Medical Scribe to support physicians in a busy clinical setting. You will document patient encounters, operate the NextGen EMR, and prepare medical record materials to streamline patient care.

Responsibilities include updating histories, preparing charts, sending referrals, and ensuring accurate, confidential record keeping under supervision. Strong attention to detail and professional communication are essential for success.

Formación

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or comparable experience.
• One year’s medical office experience preferred.
• Current CPR certification required. Medical Assistant Certification a plus.
• Must be self-directed and able to work independently.
• Attention to detail a must.
• Professional, calm, and courteous demeanor
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Responsabilidades

• Preparing and assembling medical record documentation/charts for the physician.
• Updating patient history, physical exam, and other pertinent health information in the patient record.
• Organizing and sending all documentation to physician for review.
• Fill out summaries of what was discussed during the consultation or treatment session.
• Send referral letters on behalf of your patient’s insurer.
• Taking notes during patient visits and documenting them in NextGen EMR.
• Collaborating with supervising Physician to complete and submit medical records.
• Communicating with patients and supervising Physicians professionally.
• Completing administrative tasks efficiently and helping the Physician take tests and give out medication.
• Complies with Policies and Procedures and adheres to safety guidelines.
