Qualifications

• Prior experience or education in a healthcare-related field preferred.
• Proficiency in computer skills and typing, with a willingness to learn and adapt to various electronic health record systems.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with healthcare providers and team members.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology preferred.
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality, integrity, and professionalism in handling patient information and adhering to regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Document patient encounters in the EHR with accuracy and completeness.
• Enter patient data such as chief complaints, vitals, medications, allergies, and labs during appointments.
• Assist in transcribing verbal orders and consultations into the EHR.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and protect patient confidentiality.
• Support clinicians by improving EHR workflow and reducing administrative burden.
• Review documentation for accuracy and clarity, asking for clarification when needed.
