Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Medical Scribe to support primary care teams with clinical documentation across the patient care journey. The role includes observing visits with providers, documenting encounters, and assigning CPT/ICD-10 codes, while preparing After Visit Summaries and contributing to documentation improvements.

This full-time, on-site position emphasizes accuracy, teamwork, and the ability to adapt to clinic workflows; prior scribe experience is helpful, and Spanish or other languages

Qualifications

• Knowledge of medical terminology and common medications.
• Prior clinical experience, including shadowing and/or volunteering, strongly preferred.
• Prior scribe or transcription experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Document patient encounters in a structured note (history, assessment, plan, physical exam).
• Join the provider in the exam room to observe visits and document accordingly.
• Assign CPT and ICD-10 codes.
• Prepare After Visit Summaries.
• Support documentation improvement and review patient records as needed.
• Provide administrative support to the provider and care team; perform other duties as assigned.
