CVS Health Corporation is seeking a dedicated Medical Scribe in Indianapolis, Indiana. This role involves supporting primary care providers with clinical documentation to enhance patient care. Responsibilities include joining providers in patient visits, documenting encounters, and ensuring accurate clinical documentation.

The ideal candidate should have a good knowledge of medical terminology, advanced communication skills, and the ability to adapt in a clinical environment. This position offers a competitive pay range of $17.00 - $28.46 hourly and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of medical terminology and common medications.
• Prior clinical experience, including shadowing or volunteering is preferred.
• Ability to type 70+ words per minute is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Documenting patient encounters during examinations.
• Assigning appropriate CPT and ICD-10 codes.
• Consulting with providers to ensure accurate documentation.
• Requesting and reviewing medical records for documentation improvement.
• Placing orders and referrals as part of administrative support.
