Job summary

UMass Memorial Health in Milford is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to provide comprehensive respiratory care per department policies, with autonomy for routine and complex patient care.

You will review EMRs, administer aerosolized medications, perform ABG analysis, and collaborate with physicians on therapy decisions, including ventilatory support, to ensure high-quality patient care across units.

Qualifications

• Must have AS in Respiratory Care and be a licensed RRT in Massachusetts.
• BLS within 30 days; ACLS/NRP/PALS within 3 months of employment.
• Bachelor's degree preferred; specialty NBRC credentials welcome.
• Continued professional development and certification maintenance.
• Experience in acute care settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide all aspects of respiratory care per department policies.
• Review electronic medical records for relevant history and orders.
• Administer aerosolized medications and perform procedures.
• Draw and analyze arterial blood gases and report critical values.
• Consult with physicians to tailor therapy and optimize patient care.
