Qualifications

• Master's degree in Nursing or related healthcare field is required.
• Licensed to practice nursing in the State of Texas.
• NPD-BC certification within two years of employment.
• Basic Life Support from an AHA hospital-based program.
• Five years of related clinical experience.
• Two years of related clinical/leadership experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; public speaking.
• Proficiency in MS Word.

Responsabilités

• Assess, plan, develop, implement and evaluate education activities, competency validation, clinical care, programs and initiatives for the assigned department/units.
• Provide leadership within the department including quality improvement activities and human resources support.
• Promote a professional nursing practice environment and enculturation of the Nursing Professional Practice Model.
• Ensure compliance with standards from nursing organizations, regulatory agencies and institutional policies.
• Mentor nurses, participate in nursing organizations and research, and model professionalism.
