Job summary

Harris Health is seeking a Clinical Resource Nurse (CRN) to assess, plan, develop, implement and evaluate education activities, competency validation, and clinical care within the assigned department.

The CRN provides leadership, supports quality improvement and human resources management, and helps enculturate the Nursing Professional Practice Model to promote high-quality, patient-centered care across Harris Health facilities.

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing with a Master's degree in Nursing or related healthcare field is required.
• Licenses And Certification: Licensed to practice nursing in the State of Texas. Related specialty certification or certification as a nursing professional development specialist (NPD-BC) required within two years of employment. Basic Life Support from a hospital-based American Heart Association (AHA) approved program.
• Other Certificates As Required By Unit/service.
• Work Experience: Five (5) years of work experience in related clinical area of practice is required. Management/Experience: Two (years) related clinical/leadership experience is required.
• Communication Skills: Above Average Verbal (Heavy Public Contact), Exceptional Verbal (e.g., Public Speaking) Writing /Correspondence, Writing / Reports
• Proficiencies: MS Word, P.C.

Responsibilities

• The CRN assesses, plans, develops, implements and evaluates education activities, competency validation, clinical care, programs and initiatives for the assigned department/units.
• The CRN demonstrates expert clinical knowledge and skills and supports system level nursing clinical and education nursing initiatives.
• The CRN provides leadership within the department including quality improvement activities and supports resource accountability.
