Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Clinical Research Nurse in Chicago to support investigator-initiated and sponsor trials. The CRN will serve as a liaison between NU investigator teams and Northwestern Medical Group, ensuring compliant study conduct throughout the protocol lifecycle.

The role requires an RN license, a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent), and 2 years of clinical research trial experience, with strong communication, organizational, and computer skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required.
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse is required.
• Two years’ experience managing all aspects of clinical research trials.
• Intermediate computer and internet knowledge.
• Excellent customer service and patient care skills.
• Meticulous organizational and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates and coordinates logistical aspects of study protocols with research staff.
• Provides direct nursing patient care including admissions, medications, and study-related tests.
• Represents the protocol team at meetings and site visits with investigators and monitor vendors.
• Ensures accurate data entry and documentation related to study subjects and events.
• Trains staff and maintains study files and regulatory communications.
