Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator to oversee all aspects of coordinating a clinical trial under the supervision of the Principal Investigator. This role involves direct patient care, medication dispensation under protocol, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory and sponsor requirements.

The Coordinator will attend investigator meetings, coordinate site visits, arrange vendor procedures, and maintain robust communication among investigators, sponsors, and IRB.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent experience.
• Two years’ experience in managing all aspects of clinical research trials with knowledge of protocol requirements and Good Clinical Practice.
• Intermediate computer and internet knowledge.
• Excellent customer service and patient care skills.
• Meticulous organizational skills.
• ACRP or SOCRA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates, coordinates, and manages logistical aspects of study protocols per GCP and sponsor requirements.
• Provides direct patient care per protocol including dispensation of investigational medications and tests.
• Attends investigator meetings, pre-study site visits, study initiation visits, and other study visits as required.
• Coordinates procedures and visits with external vendors necessary for the study.
• Schedules and leads protocol review meetings and ensures compliance with study requirements.
• Maintains study-related communication with principal investigator, Sponsor, IRB, and study subjects.
• Ensures accurate data entry into case report forms with source documentation verification.
• Ability to travel between hospital locations where research is conducted.
