Job summary

Axle seeks a Research Nurse to join our NIH-supported team at the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK) in Bethesda, Maryland. You will provide nursing care within clinical protocols, coordinate patient visits, collect data, and ensure protocol compliance and patient safety in research studies.

Required are RN licensure, CPR, a Master’s degree in nursing or equivalent, and 2+ years of nursing experience; experience with MedSurg nursing and MS Office is

Qualifications

RN license with CPR certification.
Master’s degree in nursing with current RN licensure.
Three years of specialized nursing experience plus a bachelor’s degree equivalence.
Field of study: Nursing.

Responsibilities

Recruit and screen patients for inclusion in protocols.
Collect clinical data and maintain patient files for research protocols.
Perform physical assessments and monitor patient safety during protocol studies.
Coordinate patient travel and pre-scheduling of evaluations.
Educate patients and families about protocols and potential risks.
