Job summary

National Institutes of Health seeks a Nurse (Research Specialist) to collaborate with the PI and oversee core aspects of the clinical protocol lifecycle, including planning, data collection and analysis, and presenting findings.

Required: nursing degree from an accredited program, NCLEX-RN, and an active RN license in the United States. At least 1 year of nurse research experience at GS-11 level is expected.

Qualifications

• Must have nursing degree from an accredited professional nursing program.
• Must have NCLEX-RN certification.
• Must possess an active, full and unrestricted nursing license in the US.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care in a clinical research environment to participants, ensuring adherence to protocols and standards of care.
• Perform patient assessments, administer medications and treatments, and collect clinical data.
• Educate research participants and families on procedures, risks and benefits to ensure informed consent and protocol compliance.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient care activities and report adverse events and protocol deviations.
