Axle is recruiting a Research Nurse to support the National Institutes of Health (NIDDK) in Bethesda, Maryland. The role focuses on providing nursing care, coordinating clinical research protocols, and educating patients about disease processes and trial objectives.

Qualified candidates hold a Master’s in Nursing with an active RN license, CPR certification, and relevant experience in Med/Surg nursing and clinical protocols. A market-competitive salary is offered with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two (2) years of nursing experience with CPR certification.
• Master’s degree in nursing with current state licensure as a Registered Nurse.
• Three (3) years specialized experience plus a bachelor’s degree is equivalent to a master’s degree.

Responsibilities

• Recruit and screen patients for inclusion in protocols and clinical trials.
• Educate patients regarding the disease process and possible therapeutic strategies and protocol objectives.
• Provide clinical support to patients participating in protocol studies and nursing care coordination.
• Assist research and medical staff with data collection and documentation for protocol adherence.
