Qualifications

• Master's degree in nursing or equivalent.
• 5 years Med-Surg nursing experience if using bachelor's degree.

Responsibilities

• Organize and facilitate training for physicians, physicians in training, nurses and other staff.
• Mentor healthcare staff in trial execution and protocol adaptation.
• Provide training on Investigator, brochure information, protocol implementation and data collection.
• Mentor nurses to develop skills in research protocols and clinical research.
• Perform protocol activities including study drug administration, data collection and patient counseling.
• Interface with inpatient and outpatient units to ensure protocol compliance and address patient concerns.
• Maintain complete clinical databases and documentation for research protocols.
• Stay updated on current therapeutics and clinical practices for liver disease (for example).
• Coordinate patient travel and preschedule evaluations; communicate appointment details to patients.
• Participate in weekly patient care conferences and reviews of diagnostic studies.
• Identify ways to improve operating procedures and reduce costs.

Education

Master's degree in nursing

Bachelor's degree in Nursing with 5 years Med-Surg experience
