Job summary

Georgetown University’s Center for Translational Transplant Medicine seeks a Clinical Research Nurse Coordinator I (CRNC I) to coordinate and oversee clinical trials in collaboration with MedStar Georgetown Transplant Institute. You will manage visits, data collection, and participant safety within a strong regulatory framework.

You will work with PIs, clinical research staff, and multidisciplinary teams to integrate research procedures into clinical workflows, ensuring ALCOA+ data integrity and

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing with active nursing license.
• 2–7 years of recent clinical nursing experience in a hospital, clinic, or similar setting.
• Nursing competency skills per scope of practice (vital signs, assessments, ECG/EKG, injections).
• At least 1 year clinical trials research experience.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, drug calculation, clinical medicine, clinical trials and GCP concepts.
• Detail oriented and meticulous in all aspects of work.
• Strong follow through and proactive problem solving.
• Professional demeanor with strong communication skills with the public as well as physicians and co-workers.
• Ability to work well independently as well as in a team environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Word and Excel, electronic health systems and databases used in research environment, or willing to learn within six months.
• Ability to work well under pressure, multi-task, and manage deadlines.
• Knowledge of GCP, HIPAA policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Ensures protocol compliance and performs protocol-specific clinical assessments and procedures within the RN scope.
• Protects rights, safety, and well-being of study participants and monitors for adverse events.
• Participates in recruitment and informed consent process.
• Prepares and manages source documents and Case Report Forms adhering to ALCOA+ standards and GCP.
• Assists regulatory teams with protocol submissions, safety amendments, and audits.
• Educates participants, families, and staff on protocols, investigational products, and side effects.
