Job summary

Georgetown University’s Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center seeks a Clinical Research Nurse 1 to coordinate oncology trials, support patient care, and ensure protocol compliance. You will work across outpatient, inpatient, and home settings, managing data and communicating clearly with investigators and sponsors.

Qualifications include a DC RN license, BLS, 3–5 years of nursing experience, and preferred clinical research and oncology exposure. The role is on-campus with a full benefits package.

Qualifications

• The candidate holds a DC RN license and BLS certification.
• 3–5 years of nursing experience in hospital/clinic settings.
• At least 1 year in clinical research is preferred.
• Oncology experience is preferred.
• Familiarity with GCP and regulatory requirements.
• Strong verbal and written communication; highly organized.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate assigned oncology clinical trials across the trial lifecycle.
• Participate in recruitment, screen patients, and assess eligibility.
• Obtain informed consent and document according to protocol and policies.
• Contribute to data collection and ensure protocol adherence and patient safety.
• Manage care across outpatient, inpatient, and home settings; triage calls.
• Document medical data in EMR and patient research charts.
• Support study participants with education on participation and testing.
• Update CTMS with patient data and key trial dates for financial management.
• Collaborate with CRCs, CRNs, coordinators, and auditors; liaise with sponsors.
